The Birth of "Family Life" & Wellness Institute . . .
The justification and purpose for the establishment of a Family Life and Wellness Institute and Training Institute comes from the present situation in our society where married couples and families face tremendous pressures and stresses to maintain their marriages and families in the midst of both challenges, threats, and opportunities, as well as answer the call and inherent yearning and desire of couples and families to achieve wholeness, holiness, and an improved quality of life.
The Wellness Center is intended to help individuals (children, adolescents, singles and adult), couples families and communities draw lessons, inspiration, and perspectives derived from Catholic teachings, encyclicals, spiritual, and lives of saints, and their community members who can share their past and present experiences in order to enlarge their understanding of issues, concerns and problems commonly encountered in their relationships and daily lives. |
In our increasingly complex society, family lives have more challenges than ever. Therefore, family life education must shift dramatically to adequately address these profound changes in the home environment. In responding to this call, the FLWI leads the new paradigm for supporting families in the communities, effectively shifting to living systems, envisioning its role as the fulcrum of connections and interactions in transforming the world by revitalizing the family life and family wellness.
The Institute’s Center is a place where clients can get the help they need to enhance and/or heal themselves and their relationships, get training or education through the Center’s varied activities and programs, such as therapy or counseling, workshops and seminars, or conferences. The Center is also a “sanctuary” for those who would need help and some degree of support for their marriage and family problems (family and couples therapy).

The Institute’s center has truly become a “wellspring” of hope, expertise, education, and health or wellness for the community. An ethos and value for practical Christian teachings can be a driving force for the community members to live productively and happily. It is the Center’s main goal to disseminate Christ’s teachings and the church’s programs for a spiritual and social transformation of Philippine society.
"Through our innovative programs and services the FLWI invites educators, counselors, coaches and pastoral workers, health professionals, and environmental, scientific community whose interest is to energize, assist, and inspire parents in the communities, co-creating with them new levels of family fulfillment and parenting enjoyment, including the state of family happiness and well-being."
